CALL FOR PAPERS

Quodlibet, formerly the CRNLE Reviews Journal, is a freely accessible,
fully refereed international e-journal published twice a year by the
Department of English, Flinders University, Adelaide, Australia.

The journal aims to publish high-quality academic work produced by scholars
associated with tertiary institutions who are conducting research in the
areas of
• Postcolonial literatures
• New Literatures in English
• International Writing

It is intended to publish one themed issue and one general issue each year.

Conference Theme: “Gender and Sexuality in South Asian Literature and
Culture”

The ’hood has come to embody both the utopian and dystopian aspects of
low-income urban areas. It represents a collective sense of community as
well as a marginalized and often criminalized space/place. The popularity
of the term “’hood” (slang for neighbourhood) is generally associated with
the emergence of hip-hop culture. Today, however, the term encompasses much
more than the young, predominantly black subculture from which it originated.

Below I offer a call for submissions for a panel at the annual conference
of the American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies in Richmond,
Virginia, March 26-29, 2009.

This is just a reminder that the review of abstracts for the Renaissance
Comparative Prose Conference at Purdue University has begun. We will
continue our review until the final notification on August 15. Please
