HISPANIC CULTURE REVIEW

Hispanic Culture Review is a scholarly journal that publishes narratives
(fiction and nonfiction), reviews, essays, poetry, drama, and visual art
related to the Hispanic world at George Mason University. The journal
covers a variety of topics related to the world of Hispanic culture and
literature, including but not limited to social issues and their
reflection in literature, the problematic of multiculturalism and
immigration, cultural production of Latinos in the U.S. and identity
politics, literature of Latin America and Spain, personal testimonies and
book reviews.

SUBMISSION DETAILS:
 
The journal welcomes original submissions written in either Spanish or
English.
Work should be sent as an e-mail attachment in Word format. All submitted
material should include the following information in the body of an e-
mail as well as in the beginning of the attached file:
• the author's name
• title of the submission
• address
• contact phone number
• works must follow MLA or APA format
• brief contributor’s biography (maximum 50 words)

Submission deadline: February 7, 2009.
The journal will be published in April 2008.

Acceptable length of submissions:

Essays, including endnotes: 3,000 words
Narratives: 2,500 words
Reviews: 1,000 words
Poetry: 100 lines
Submissions should be sent to: hcr_at_gmu.edu, hcr.gmu_at_gmail.com.

HCR reserves the right to publish submissions exclusively on its website.
