We are seeking contributions for a commemorative collection of essays that
will consider how The Bluest Eye has continued to influence scholarship,
teaching, and creative endeavors, as well how subsequent developments in
those categories have shaped how The Bluest Eye is theorized and taught.
The volume will be divided into four sections: 1) Disciplinary and
Theoretical Considerations 2) Thinking About The Bluest Eye 40 Years Later:
New Approaches and Scholarship 3) Re-Membering The Bluest Eye: The Bluest
Eye as Inter-Text in Recent AA Literature 4) Pedagogical Considerations:
Teaching The Bluest Eye. A major university press has expressed interest in
