2009 marks the 70th anniversary of the movie and the 109th anniversary of
the book. Millions have been captivated by the fantastical and yet
familiar Land of Oz. A scholarly exploration of Oz will take place at
Henderson State University, June 26-28, 2009. Papers on any topic
associated with Ozâ€"the movie, the books, the spin-offs (The Wiz, Wicked,
etc.)â€"are invited. Papers should be no more than 20 minutes reading time
(roughly 3000-3500 words). Panel proposals are also encouraged.
Electronic submissions are preferred.

Seng, of "The Wizard of Oz and Philosophy: Wicked Wisdom of the West"
from Open Court Press)
