Call for Papers, Women's Connection at CEA 2010
Annual Conference | March 25-27, 2010 | San Antonio, Texas
Sheraton Gunter Hotel; 209 East Houston Street, San Antonio, TX 78205

The College English Association, a gathering of scholar-teachers in English studies, welcomes
proposals for presentations for our 41st annual conference. In particular, the Women's Connection division invites papers that address the general conference theme, Voices, in terms of women's writing or women's issues. How have female authors voiced their views in literary and popular culture texts? How have they been silenced? What makes their voice unique? What gender issues surface in the classroom? How can we as teachers help our students, particularly our female students, develop their own voices and use them effectively? In addition to submitting a proposal, we also invite you to attend the Women's Connection Reception on Friday evening during the conference to hear our speaker, Norma E. Cantu.

Submission: August 21-November 1, 2009
For more information on how to submit, please see the full CFP at http://www2.widener.edu/~cea/conference2010.htm
