Call for Papers: Eights Annual English Postgraduate Conference 'Creative Conflicts' Wed 30th June

Creative Conflicts is the eighth annual Postgraduate Conference held by the English Programme, University of Dundee. It will address the role that conflict plays in the creative process, and explore the productive conflicts that arise between writers, editors, artists, and film-makers during the process of collaboration. It will also foreground the role of critics and audiences in debating conflicting interpretations of texts and artworks. Other aspects of creative conflict that may be addressed include issues of adaptation, translation, competing editions, and texts that are in direct conflict with their predecessors. We invite proposals for papers which address issues of the conflicts, critical antagonisms and adversarial collaborations that drive the creative process in literature and the arts.

Proposals should be 300 words long, for papers lasting 20 minutes. The deadline for proposals is 23rd April 2010. Proposals shoul be subitted to Keir Elder at:
