Proposals on any aspect of THE POLITICS OF CONTEMPORARY AMERICAN POETRY are invited for submission to the AMERICAN CULTURE ASSOCIATION Area Chair listed below.
Call for papers on any topic dealing with AMERICAN POETRY and the politcs of contemporary poetics, poetic movements, academic groups, the politics of contests, the evolution of literary changes in schools, modern and postmodern theory, future poetics, the dialogue of cyberpoetics and print, small press publication politics, internet and print political differences, etc. I would like to get some discussions going on the future of American poetics.
SUBMISSIONS TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
1. Email one full page paper proposals in Word (.doc). A full proposal so I can understand what your research entails. Include your Paper title (please keep these concise, they may have to be trimmed for the program)
2. Complete name and academic title (academic rank, prof., grad. student, etc.) and Academic affiliation and address including zip, dept. and institution, with city, state, and zip code. Make sure you include
3. Phone numbers: office and home numbers if possible (if I cannot reach you, you may be dropped from the session)
4. Email address for each participant (for panel proposals); I need at least one working email address for everyone. Please make sure your email address is correct. If your email address changes, you are responsible for notifying the Area Chair immediately.
For Session Proposals include (3-4 papers)
a) titles and abstracts of papers for each member of your session,
b) chair's name and session title
c) All required information for each participant as listed below. Organizers of sessions are responsible for each member's complete information and panels will not be considered without it.
If you must use ground mail, be sure you supply all the above information; and please be sure to include phone numbers and email addresses where you can be reached. If MAILING your proposal, please use the office address below.
