Research in Social Change is a relatively young journal which was established in 2008 by School of Advanced Social Studies in Nova Gorica, Slovenia with the first issue being published on January 2009. The Journal is published three times per year in printed form and it is included in Applied Social Science Index and Abstracts (ASSIA) and CSA Sociological Abstracts.
Currently, there is the 8th number approaching and we are happy to announce this call for papers for May 2011 issue.

CONTEMPORARY WOMEN NOVELISTS

This conference aims to map and celebrate the achievements of contemporary women novelists. From A. L. Kennedy and Nicola Barker to Sarah Waters and Ali Smith, the voices of these fine writers have established an intellectually demanding literary generation with its own distinctive imagination. Invited speakers include: Claire Colebrook (Penn State), Nicola Humble (Roehampton), Laura Marcus (Oxford), and Kaye Mitchell (Manchester).

"Teaching, Literacy, and the Role of English Studies"

Sigma Tau Delta is the International English Honor Society. This panel seeks, then, papers on areas central to the honorary society's purpose, including pedagogy and teaching, the promotion of literacy, and the role of English studies in the academy or society as a whole. Submissions from Sigma Tau Delta members will be given first priority. Please submit abstracts of no more than 500 words to Lynne Simpson at lsimpson@presby.edu by March 1, 2011.

The 65th annual Rocky Mountain MLA (RMMLA) convention will be held from October 6-8, 2011 at the Chaparral Suites Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona.
