New Directions in Writing and Publication: The Tipping Point
November 10-11, 2011
North Georgia College & State University welcomes submissions for its 2011 Conference on New Directions in Writing and Publishing. This fall's conference will explore the theme, "The Tipping Point":
Seeking papers to fill out an MLA 2012 panel proposal.
This panel seeks to recover the work of novelist and poet Richard Brautigan. His often experimental style took on a range of subjects, and as yet, his work is largely unexplored. His work is ripe for any number of readings: ecocritical, queer/gender studies, postmodern, poststructuralist, meta-criticism, historical, noir/crime, etc. etc. Papers exploring ANY aspect of Richard Brautigan's works--poetry or prose to be sent by March 1, 2011 to Jill E. Anderson.
This is a proposed panel for the 2012 Modernist Studies Association convention in Buffalo. Please send abstracts of papers that indicate how Robert Scholes' 2010 book Modernism in the Magazines: An Introduction, the Modernist Journals Project, and the increasing digital availability of modernist little magazines have changed your approaches to teaching the period and/or your scholarship of the period.
