North Georgia College & State University welcomes submissions for its 2011 Conference on New Directions in Writing and Publishing. This fall's conference will explore the theme, "The Tipping Point":

Publishers have projected that 2011 will be the year when the volume of digital publishing will become greater than that of print publishing. Further, it has been predicted that more money will be made in 2011 in digital publishing than in print publishing. The conference will explore issues arising from this significant transition.

The conference committee welcomes abstracts addressing the following subject threads:

• How will the transformations of the publishing industry affect
Intellectual property rights?
The teaching of creative writing?
Authors' approaches to writing?
Book stores?
• Book clubs after the tipping point
• Skills needed for publishing today
• Textbook and documentation issues
• Cultural impact of the changes
• The post-print book

The New Directions Conference and the Dahlonega Literary Festival will be held in historic Dahlonega. Venues will be the campus of North Georgia College and State University and the picturesque Dahlonega town square.

Please submit abstracts of 250-300 words to
