For the Children's Sake (Roundtable) In the last four decades, academic interest has increased in translation for young readers. The existing canon of children's literature in the United States, however, remains primarily domestic. This roundtable will examine current trends in translation of children's literature into English in the United States. How are children's books selected for translation? Is the motivation for selection educational, literary, or commercial? What role do editors and publishers play in the selection? Abstracts to Laura Collins (Deadline 30 September 2011)
