Irish Journal of Gothic and Horror Studies: Issue 12
The Irish Journal of Gothic and Horror Studies (ISSN 2009-0374) is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary, electronic publication dedicated to the exploration of Horror and Gothic literature, film, new media and television. The submission deadline for the next issue is 31st January 2013.
We are now seeking submissions of articles and reviews that deal with a diverse range of gothic and horror studies, including (but not limited to) literature, film, television and new media. To mark the first issue under the new editorship, we are seeking essays on any aspect of the gothic/horror, and are especially interested in receiving submissions on the theme of "Gothic rebirths," which can be interpreted as broadly as prospective contributors wish. We will consider articles between 6,000-8,000 words. They should be written in endnote format (see previous articles). Reviews should be approximately 1,000 words with full publication/release/transmission dates and details of the subject discussed. Please note, reviews of contemporary and classic horror films should focus on those that have been released or revived theatrically or on DVD within the last year.
Articles and reviews can be submitted for consideration to Dr. Jenny McDonnell and Dr. Dara Downey at firstname.lastname@example.org or sent to The Irish Journal of Gothic and Horror Studies C/O The School of English, Trinity College Dublin, Dublin 2, Ireland.
Issue #12 will be published in Summer 2013.
