Supernatural Studies Association

Supernatural Studies, previously announced as an e-journal, is now soliciting submissions for a peer-reviewed print journal. The inaugural issue will be published Spring 2013. We welcome articles on any aspect of the representation of the supernatural, including (but not limited to) art, literature, film, television, and other forms of popular culture. We welcome any approach. Articles of between 3,000 and 6,000 words in length (including references) are invited, and should use the MLA referencing system. Book reviews should be between 800 and 2,000 words. Complete articles and reviews will be due February 15, 2013. Please feel free to send queries and abstracts, as well.

CALL FOR PAPERS: Film Love Matters: Romance, Love, and Sexuality in World Cinema

In 2003, David R. Shumway claimed that romantic fictional narratives, in whatever medium, instruct both readers and viewers about love, "even if they are often unaware of the lesson" (2-3). Certainly cinema plays a significant role in determining the way viewers from all over the world construct their own "real" romantic relationships, act in specific romantic and/or sexual situations, and/or emulate behaviors they have watched on the big screen.

The European Nonprofit TPM3 Institute will organize the first "European TPM3" Conference in Zalakaros, Hungary.
The International Event will focus on TPM and its role in industrial maintenance and production.
Although European TPM is slightly different from common TPM schools, we cordially welcome everyone from all TPM schools to attend, to present and to exhibit their special knowledge.
