Brújula, an interdisciplinary journal of Latin American studies published annually through the Davis Humanities Institute and the Hemispheric Institute on the Americas at the University of California, Davis, is seeking book reviews of recently published scholarly monographs for the Travesía Critica section of its tenth volume: Is It Brazil's Turn? Comparative Approximations to the Country of the Future (Spring 2013).

This issue features articles that offer comparative analyses of Brazil and that, regardless of disciplinary orientation and chronological focus, reflect in some way on Brazil's recent transformations. These are focused in areas such as: hemispheric and cultural studies, Latin American studies, Luso-Brazilian studies, transatlantic studies, Africana studies, gender and queer studies, literature, film, music, plastic and visual arts, architecture and urbanism, sociology, anthropology, economics and development, land management and ecology, and international relations.

Submissions must be written in English, Portuguese, or Spanish. Brújula follows current MLA formatting guidelines. Email two (2) separate Word documents to by May 10, 2013 (subject title: Review Submission): (1) Cover letter with name, academic position and affiliation, and brief professional bio; (2) Review as an anonymous document.
