[UPDATE] Deadline Extended: The Apollonian: A Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies (Humanities)

full name / name of organization:
The Apollonian: A Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies

FOCUS: Philosophy and Poetry
Poetry has been a continuous presence in the realm of philosophy. While the conflation often engendered poetic synchronization to the epistemic and aesthetic concerns of philosophy the cross-currents also opened up interesting instances of dissent. The resultant proliferation of ideas gave impetus to 'other' readings of poetry parallel to its traditional nuance. We invite scholarly essays that take into account philosophy's engagement with poetry that goes back to Plato and Aristotle, and is a continuing imperative in the philosophical paradigms of Kant, Hegel, Dilthey, Nietzsche, Jean-Luc Nancy and others. We invite articles that present new avenues along those familiar engagements as well as attempts to bring in the philosophical discourse of philosophers such as Bakhtin, Heidegger, Sartre, Blanchot, Derrida, Adorno, Agamben and others. Philosophical reading of select poets would be welcome as well.
Selected papers from both segments may be chosen for publication in two separate books which are likely to be published by reputed publishers and marketed internationally.
