DIGGING, DIALOGUE & DIVERSITY

11 – 15 July, 2016
Bendigo, AUSTRALIA

Proposals are invited for papers and workshops that examine the practise of chaplaincy on the higher education campus by addressing the conference theme: "Digging, Dialogue and Diversity". This conference is multi-faith, multi-disciplinary and international in nature, and the program of presentations will reflect these broad perspectives. Papers and workshops may be theoretic or practical and may present original research, reflective practise or examples of best practise.

Possible topics include, but are not limited to:
• Professionalisation of spiritual ministry
• Representations of religion in the media
• Institutionalisation of spiritual values
• Global trends in religious expression
• Students addressing injustice
• Local agendas vs national priorities
• Spirituality, identity and sexuality
• Technology, individuality and community
• Self-development and self-care

Paper presentations are allocated 20 minutes and a further 5 minutes for questions. Workshop presentations are allocated 55 minutes. Abstracts of 250 words in length should be received by the review committee by 31 October 2015. The committee will advise presenters of inclusion of their presentation by 20 December 2015. Presenters whose proposals are accepted for the conference program will also be invited to submit a manuscript for publication in the Journal of the Tertiary Campus Ministry Association following the conference.

Please email presentation proposals, or enquiries to chaplaincy@scu.edu.au . Clearly indicate if it is a paper or a workshop that is being proposed.
