By extending the learning environment beyond the classroom's boundaries, undergraduate programs have stimulated lively pedagogical innovation across general education disciplines. The approach encourages rigorous critical thought via assignments that require students to think critically and to reflect actively on links between course materials, historical sites, and concrete social and cultural concerns. However, the popularity for the experiential, fed by administrative and parental enthusiasm, may hinder instructors and encumber students. This roundtable seeks presentations that address the rewards, the apprehensions, and the consequences in emphasizing "relevance," the triumphs and the misfires in designing curricula for this method of college-level learning. Presentations on the first-year and freshman-experience particularly welcome. Submit abstracts (300 words maximum) by September 30, 2015, to Session ID#15658 at https://www.cfplist.com/nemla/Home/S/15658
