Submissions for This Bridge Called Language Anthology [Deadline March 31, 2016]

full name / name of organization:
This Bridge Called Language Anthology

This Bridge Called Language is currently seeking submissions. This Bridge Called Language is an upcoming anthology of real-life stories, each inspired by an "untranslatable" word from around the world. We are seeking true-to-life, personal stories, inspired by untranslatable words that capture the essence and experience of the word more than any attempt at a direct translation could. We seek true tales that convey both the unique and the universal in the magic of real life.

This anthology will allow the power of language, storytelling and personal lived experience to be the bridge between the imagined "us" and "them," in a world that is increasingly filled instead with pieces of us all.

Submissions are open to writers of all genders, races, sexualities and ethnicities. Because of the content of the anthology,(and our personal and artistic values) we are committed to bringing together a collection of demographically and stylistically diverse voices. Women, people of color, and LGBTQ writers are encouraged to submit. Indigenous or immigrant, multicultural, mono or multi-lingual, and everything in between, we want to hear from you!
