Knowledge Futures: An International Journal of Futures Studies is a double-blind peer-reviewed, hybrid open access publication of the Centre for Knowledge Futures, University of Management and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan.
The journal publishes multidisciplinary contributions in the domain of Futures Studies, with a focus on foresights into the progress of human knowledge. Each issue of the journal addresses a specific theme in depth in order to assess research trends.
Papers are invited on the main theme of the forthcoming issue: the future of libraries. Some of the suggested sub-themes are as follows:
1. The future of libraries across cultures and nations
2. The impact of open access on libraries
3. Is linked data the future of library knowledge?
4. What values do we want libraries to model in the future?
5. Organizing physical material in the digital age
6. The effect of universal Internet on the future of libraries
Prospective authors may address a sub-theme of their choice as long as it conforms to the main theme of the issue. The journal also welcomes contributions by way of critical reviews, book reviews, short notices, annotated bibliographies, conference reports and news of interest to the scholars of Futures Studies.
