CALL FOR PAPERS - GENTES ABSTRACT JUNE 30TH 2016 // DEADLINE AUGUST 31ST 2016

GENTES is an open access on-line journal of Humanities and Social Sciences published under the auspices of Perugia University for Foreigners ISSN: 2283-5946 (Volume III, Issue 3, 2016).

Prospective authors should submit an abstract of approximately 2000 characters and 5 keywords including affiliation and contact information (Research Center, University, etc.). The deadline for submission of abstracts is June 30, 2016. The deadline for submission of full papers is August 31, 2016. Proposals for an article must be in Italian or English. Please use Times New Roman in font size 12 and include the following information in your submission: the sub-section title, author’s name, affiliation, abstract including 5 keywords. The Section “Recensioni” (Reviews) is open to contributions in any language.

Proposals must be sent by mail to gentes@unistrapg.it (with pdf version attached).

Abstracts: Maximum 2000 characters
Articles: Maximum 50.000 characters

Proposals should focus on themes and topics that relate to the fields of research in which Perugia University for Foreigners is involved. Authors are invited to share critically different methodologies related to several disciplines such as Literature, Linguistics, Sociology, Politology, Economics, History, Art History, Semiotics and Technological Sciences. The journal is a forum for interdisciplinary discussions aiming at favoring the publication of articles accounting for cross-cutting researches related to Human and Social Sciences.

GENTES contains three sub-sections aiming at translating and directing the dialogue between different pieces of knowledge:

  1. “Visioni interdisciplinari” (Interdisciplinary views) hosts contributions related to interdisciplinary methods or presenting results with a multi-perspective approach.
  2. “Laboratori della comunicazione linguistica” (Linguistic communication lab) is dedicated to languages and to language as a tool for communication. On-going researches and projects on teaching and language acquisition, also from a didactic perspective, are welcome.
  3. “Strategie e pratiche delle culture contemporanee” (Strategies and practices of contemporary cultures) delves into single disciplinary fields focusing on contemporaneity as a privileged framework of analysis, trying to highlight new theories and methodologies and opening new frontiers to the research.

Articles in line with the editorial norms must be sent to gentes@unistrapg.it  All articles will be put through the journal’s blind peer-review process.
