PAMLA 2016: The Mediterranean: Encounters, Diaspora, and Beyond (abstract due 6/10/16; conference 11-13 Nov. 2016)
At a time when Western values are increasingly challenged by the forces of globalization, it is necessary to reconsider former epistemologies of space and ontologies of identity that now seem to be obsolete. In this context, the Mediterranean paradigm is (re)-emerging as a crucial framework.
