PAMLA 2016: Wars of Knowledge: Imperial Hegemony and the Assembly of Libraries (abstract due 6/10/16; conference 11-13 Nov. 2016)
This panel aims at problematizing the interconnectedness of cultural projects in the broad canvas of hegemonic claims. Conceiving libraries and archives as imperial, national or local enterprises, it explores their material and symbolic importance for the consecution of territorial and temporary privileges.
