Keynote Speaker: Dr. Christy Friend, Professor, Director of Center for Teaching Excellence,

Department of English Language and Literature, University of South Carolina.

 

Panel proposals and paper abstracts are invited on all aspects of language arts pedagogy that are related to best practices in teaching.  Undergraduates and  graduate students are encouraged to submit papers. Abstracts are limited to a maximum of 250 words. Brief bios of 175 words are required. Electronic submissions are requested. Presentations should be limited to 15 minutes. Panels are limited to four (4) presenters per panel. Papers and panels are solicited on:                                 

□        Teaching in the digital age in all disciplines

□        All aspects of studying and teaching literature (including World Literature)

□        Creative writing/ Creative writing pedagogy

□        Composition pedagogy

□        Teaching foreign languages

□        Communication with an international focus

Receipt deadline:  September 16, 2016

The registration fee for the fiction workshop and conference is $25 for faculty members. The fee is waived for undergraduates and graduate students .

Food:  Light refreshments will be served in the mornings. Lunch on the second day will be on your own.
