Politics and Sensations: Texts and Subtexts
The University of St. Thomas will host an interdisciplinary conference on Friday, April 21st, 2017—and we are looking for your exciting submissions!
This year's theme is "Politics and Sensation: Texts and Subtexts." We invite submissions exploring "Politics and Sensation" in all or any of its meanings. Topics include, but are not limited to: identity and archetypes; bodies, sentiments, and sensations; self-fashioning and networking; frontiers, borders, fringes; beyond borders and global networks; encountering bizarre politics; digital dialogues; rhetoric and speech(lessness); contexts, subtexts, and intertextualities; and sensational consumption.
We welcome and encourage all critical approaches, methods and/or theoretical lenses—and discussion of all forms of media (literary, visual, cultural/political, journalistic and digital)
One-page proposals for individual papers, poster presentations, panels or round-tables can be emailed directly to Stephanie Smith at email@example.com by Feb. 15, 2017. Any questions can be emailed to Stephanie as well.
