The editors of Between the Lines, an academic Hebrew journal dedicated to the study of children's and YA literature, invite submissions for its second volume. All venues of exploration are welcome: theoretical, comparative, interdisciplinary, new readings of canonical texts for children, etc.

Please note that while we welcome articles that explore children's and YA literature from all ages and cultures, we publish in Hebrew.   

All articles will be blind-refereed.

Between the Lines is published both in print and as e-journal. Contributors are encouraged to visit our first issue, at:   http://shaanan.ac.il/?page_id=24075

General Guidelines:

Please omit any references to contributors in the attached article to ensure blind review.

Manuscripts must follow APA rules of citation and bibliography.  

Length of submissions: articles between 5000 – 10,000 words, book reviews up to 3000 words.

Articles – please attach a 200 words summary of your article and keywords.

The journal does not accept manuscripts submitted simultaneously to other publication venues.

The journal does not accept manuscripts which have already been published elsewhere (in Hebrew). If you wish, however, to submit a translation to Hebrew of a manuscript you have already published elsewhere in another language, please consult the editors before submission.
