We are presently seeking submissions of art, poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction for our sixth issue! We will also consider reviews of non-mainstream books and music. Frankly, if it’s well-written, we want to read it; if it’s visually intriguing, we want to see it.

In the covering e-mail, please include the author or artist’s name, contact information (address, phone number, e-mail address), and a brief (2-4 sentence) bio. Simultaneous submissions are permitted, but please notify us if your work has been accepted for publication elsewhere.

Deadline for submissions for the next issue is 30 April 2017. (Please feel free to keep sending us wondrous creations beyond that date!)

Overview of the Book

In a contemporary environment of “truthiness” and fake news, it is more important than ever to review core principles of ethics and to reassess how these principles apply to today’s marketing practices. The proposed book will address best practices in ethical branding, corporate culture, and such topics as truth, integrity, value, and differentiation. Collectively, these cases will provide a comprehensive overview of best practice in ethical branding.

Penny Dreadful (2014-2016) has become one of the most critical well-regarded shows of the post-millennial Gothic television revival, drawing explicitly on classic tropes, texts and characters throughout its three-season run. However, despite the show’s critical success and cult following, a substantive academic examination of the show has yet to be undertaken.

Contributions for the fifth Early Career Researchers Issue can be new academic writing composed specifically for the occasion or exceptional, previously unpublished term papers on all topics pertaining to Gender Studies, Feminist Studies, Masculinity Studies, and/or Queer Theory.
