Submission Deadline: June 1, 2017

Celebrating global diversity, the Long Beach Indie International Film, Media and Music Festival (August 30-September 3, 2017) is looking for scholars, journalists, and entertainment industry professionals to bring their intellect, art, and energy this year’s Film, Media and Music Conference.

As part of our mission to be a bridge between urban communities and careers in arts, entertainment, and digital media, we are looking for instructive standalone workshops or master classes targeting youth (ages 15-24), teachers, and/or administrators at the K-14 level. These offerings should either:

  • Upgrade the tangible skills and/or knowledge base of K-14 arts, entertainment, and digital media instructors
  • Expose urban youth or parents to career options in arts, entertainment, and digital media
  • Assist K-14 administrators in developing effective career-focused or professional development programming in arts, entertainment, and digital media

Workshops and master classes are 60 minutes long and will be presented as a part of a suite of offerings for K-14 educators and administrators or at the LBI College and Career Fair (Saturday, September 2, 2017) which targets urban youth and young adults.
