This year's conference will be held at the Ateneo de Manila University, Quezon City, Philippines from May 31 to June 2, 2018. The theme is "World Englishes and Multilingual Realities: Evolutions, Interfaces, and Trajectories."

Proposals on any of these sub-themes are most welcome:

The Lincoln Humanities Journal is requesting submissions for its 6th special issue, to be published in December 2018, on the topic of Alternative Realities: Myths, Lies, Truths, and Half-Truths. Contributors are invited to examine (a) the truths of what is fact and what is fiction; (b) the real, the fake and their representations: art, illusion and history; (c) the misuse of deception; and (d) the ethical, cultural, political, and social ambivalence toward myths, lies, truths, and half-truths.

Proposals for papers and panels are now being accepted for the 39th annual SWPACA conference.  One of the nation’s largest interdisciplinary academic conferences, SWPACA offers nearly 70 subject areas, each typically featuring multiple panels.

In light of expanding literary theories contributing to a better understanding of emotions and affects in literary texts, this panel will provide participants with an opportunity to discuss various new and important perspectives on the representation of emotions in Italian literature and art.

Proposals that analyze early modern through contemporary Italian literary production are welcome. We seek papers exploring the manner in which writers convey emotions to their readers, to the literary community of their day and to their society at large.
