Proposals are invited for a Special Session of PAMLA (Pacific Ancient and Modern Language Association) 2018, which will meet November 9-11, 2018, in Bellingham, Washington. The conference theme is “Acting, Roles, Stages,” and we will be contributing papers on ways in which magic and witchcraft have been represented dramatically over the centuries.

Humans – Artis Natura, vol. 2, n° 1 – Winter 2018

The editorial committee at Artis Natura is searching for emerging artists and researchers to contribute to a thematic issue on its cultural online platform. This project has taken the form of a blog reviewed and published by an editorial committee, where researchers, artists, and writers can share reflections on the reciprocal relationship between humans and nature.


This third issue will focus on humans. The questioning of anthropocentrism, stimulated by the realities of the current environmental crisis, has raised concerns about the space that humanity occupies in the natural world.

The peer-reviewed, online and open access journal Studies in Testimony is currently accepting submissions for an expected publication date of April 2019. The call for submissions is intentionally broad in nature, allowing for submissions that look at emerging areas of academic interest, in addition to those of continued and lasting relevance from a wide range of academic disciplines including, but certainly not limited to, literature, critical theory, history and psychoanalysis.
