Kate Chopin panels at 2019 American Literature Association conference
The Kate Chopin International Society is seeking individual proposals for two sponsored panels at the 2019 American Literature Association conference at the Westin Copley Place in Boston, Massachusetts on May 23-26, 2019. The first panel, a roundtable on "Teaching Kate Chopin," seeks short (seven- to eight-minute) papers/remarks that address an aspect of or strategy for teaching Chopin’s life or work. Proposals should include a title, your name and affiliation, and a paragraph about your proposed remarks. The second panel seeks proposals relating to any aspect of Chopin’s life or work. Proposals for presentations no longer than twenty minutes should include a title, your name and affiliation, and a 200- to 400-word abstract. Send submissions for both the roundtable and the open session on or before 11 January 2019 to both Heather Ostman (State University of New York: Westchester Community College) and Bernard Koloski (Mansfield University) at email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org.
