Knowledge Across Borders: Conversations Among Disciplines
Dr. Solomon Friedberg
Department of Mathematics, Boston College
We would like to encourage graduate students from all disciplines to submit projects they are currently working on, or have completed in the past, which speak across disciplines and evoke conversations with scholars in other fields that might complement their work.
This conference has always been and will continue to be, an open forum for new critical methods, interdisciplinary projects, poster projects, and an amalgam of discussions that could lead to future collaboration. We ask that you keep our conference theme in mind when you submit an abstract, but you should not feel restricted if your work does not neatly fit into this framework.
Please note that we are also accepting creative work this year. There will be an open mic session for poets, fiction, and creative non-fiction writers.
For paper and poster presentations you should submit an abstract of 250-300 words to email@example.com by February 1, 2019.
If you are a poet, please submit up to three poems that you would like to read during the open mic session. If you are a fiction or creative non-fiction writer please submit a piece between 500-750 words.
Please visit our website if you are interested in presentations that were accepted in previous years: https://web.uri.edu/gradconference/2017-schedule/
