Call for Papers
The second volume of Turkish-German Studies Yearbook in 2011 was devoted to the 50thanniversary of the migration of Turkish guest workers to Germany. At that time, the prevailing mood surrounding Turkish-German relations was celebratory. Discussions on Leitkultur, the supposed phenomenon of speaking two languages halfway, and integration faded into the background, while mutual acceptance seemed within reach.

ANTAE (ISSN 2523-2126) invites original full-length article submissions for its upcoming general issues.
ANTAE is a refereed, interdisciplinary journal aimed at exploring current concerns and debates within literary studies, theory, and criticism. The journal welcomes submissions situated across the interdisciplinary spaces provided by diverse forms and expressions within narrative, poetry, theatre, literary theory, cultural criticism, philosophy, media studies, digital cultures, and language studies. Creative writing, translations, and book or conference reviews are also encouraged.
Researching the Rainbow Conference 2019 – Call for Papers
The University of Kent’s (UK) LGBT+ Staff Network is pleased to open the call for papers for the third annual Researching the Rainbow Conference on Friday 15 and Saturday 16 February 2019 on the Canterbury campus.
In honour of the bicentenary of Peterloo, the John Thelwall Society is sponsoring a panel exploring connections between the radicals of the 1790s and later generations of and movements for reform. This includes events and figures surrounding Peterloo, Chartism and early twentieth-century suffrage movements; but we also encourage participants to explore connections between Romantic-era radicals and activists today, especially in light of the “generational change” that is a growing feature of political discourse at the current moment. Topics might include, but are not limited to
Criterion: A Journal of Literary Criticism seeks original, well-researched, and intellectually rigorous essays written from diverse critical perspectives and about texts from any time period or literary tradition. Submissions are peer-reviewed by a selection board at BYU, and final decisions are made by the journal's Editors-in-Chief in consultation with a faculty advisor.
Beyond the Margins: A Graduate Journal of Literary Scholarship
Beyond the Margins is a new annual, open access, blind peer-reviewed journal, housed at the University of New Orleans, dedicated to furthering diversity in academia through the publication of graduate student scholarship in the field of English, with a focus on literary and textual studies. The journal's aim is twofold: to broaden opportunities for graduate student scholars to contribute to academic conversations and to provide a platform for alternative forms of scholarship.

Religion and Radicalism in Western Culture, 1700-Present
To mark the publication of The Valley Press Anthology of Prose Poetry, edited by Anne Caldwell and Oz Hardwick, there will be a one-day symposium at Leeds Trinity University (UK) on Saturday 13th July 2019.
The symposium will consist of talks, panels, the official launch of The Valley Press Anthology of Prose Poetry, and an optional workshop. Further details may be found below. We welcome non-traditional modes of presentation and welcome panel proposals.
The organisers invite proposals from scholars and practitioners (with 150-word abstracts) for 20-minute presentations which may address – though need not necessarily be limited to – one of the following topics:

At the turn of the twentieth century, modernity positioned itself as an unsettling force that changed traditional modes of communication, facilitated new forms of transportation, and transformed social experiences. Modernity also prompted technological advances that disrupted political/cultural boundaries through war, empire expansion, economic migration, and the like. Within her Empire, England's colonies felt the longing of emancipation through the rise of nationalist movements in Ireland and India. Eventually, these movements spread across Britain's African and Caribbean holdings, as well. The RMMLA English Literature since 1900 panel welcomes presentation proposals of no more than 250 words that explore any aspect of influence that decolonization

Researchers, scholars, librarians, teachers, administrators, specialists, and advanced graduate students are invited to submit works of research, reviews, and rationales. The mission of SANE Journal is to promote research regarding the integration of comic books, graphic novels, or "other" sequential art narratives in educational settings; including the teaching of comics or the ways in which the comics medium can instruct or cause a change in behavior. Manuscripts should be submitted by March, 2019, with an anticipated publication date of July 2019.
