This year nepUL is pleased to announce the new CFA for its new International Political Studies Colloquium: More Representation = Democracy?.There has been a growing debate within the media and academic realm in what democracy is concerned. We may often consider the legitimacy of our democracy when hearing an emerging expression of feelings of distrust towards politicians, increasing abstention in many democratic countries and raise of social frustration which leads to the election of so-called extremist parties, non-politicians and populist views. As so, is representation a sufficient condition for the existance of a democratic society or is it only necessary? If not, are the actions of the representants the answer or are institutions the biggest actors in this political and social scenario? We invite every undergraduate or graduate researcher to send us philosophical or political science abstracts on the topic announced. We value works that defend arguments and that stimulate the debate in the audience. The abstracts should be written in portuguese, spanish, english or frenchand should have a word count between 250 and 500 words.  Submission Rules:  1) Every submission should be sent in PDF without any reference to the author;2) Every submission shoud be sent with the title “RepDem2019”;3) In the email message, the author should send us his/her name, academic affiliation and e-mail adress.(Every submission will be sent for the evaluation of a scientific committee.) Last sending date: April 5thFinal decisions will be known by April 19th Organizing Committee: Bernardo Santos (University of Lisbon)Catarina Tello de Castro (Praxis-CFUL, Catholic University of Portugal)Marta Corado (ISCTE-IUL; University of Lisbon) Scientific Committee: Bruno Peixe Dias (Praxis-CFUL)Isabel David (University of Lisbon) José Gomes André (Praxis-CFUL)Mónica Dias (CIEP-IEP; Catholic University of Portugal)    Contact:;  Centro de Filosofia da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa Grupo Praxis
