NeMLA recognizes the significant contribution of visual presentations to the body of academic study of literature and other linguistic constructions. Posters can relay complex information in ways that text alone cannot. These sessions are an opportunity for NeMLA scholars to share visual representations of their research. The format of the session allows presenters to display their work in a casual setting and to engage in informal conversations with convention participants regarding their work at a designated place and time.

Posters may be digital or hard copies. Proposals are due at https://www.cfplist.com/nemla/Home/S/18347 by September 30, 2019, and poster layout files are due separately via email to support@nemla.org by September 30, 2019. For more information on designing and printing posters, please visit buffalo.edu/nemla/poster. NeMLA will contact all accepted poster submitters to schedule a time when you may present along with other poster presenters. These can be digital or hard copies. When submitting proposals and emailing support@nemla.org, please indicate whether audio-visual technology will be needed, and please specify which equipment will be needed.

NeMLA's 51st Annual Convention in Boston (March 5 to 8, 2020) will feature Andre Dubus III, whose novel Gone So Long will be the focus of "NeMLA Reads Together," and an opening address by Maurice Lee, author of the award-winning Uncertain Chances: Science, Skepticism, and Belief in 19th-century American Literature.
