Journal of the British Fantasy Society: Gene Wolfe special (to be published in Autumn 2020)
The Journal of the British Fantasy Society contains a mix of academic papers, reviews, interviews and feature articles. Our contributors and readers have interests across many genres and in many media: literature, comics, movies, music, oral histories and so on.
This issue will still contain some general papers, space permitting, but we are looking especially for papers about Gene Wolfe and his works to commemorate his contribution to the field. Your submission could be an academic paper (for example, about his impact on the field), a review of one of his works or series, a personal appreciation of him, or something else of interest to the readers of the Journal. We particularly welcome submissions from people who knew him personally or professionally.
The deadline for the Gene Wolfe issue is May 1st 2020, for publication in Autumn 2020.
We are happy to work with early career and independent researchers, as well as those whose careers are well established.
Submissions are to be made directly by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please use MS Word or RTF format only.
Our preferred length for academic papers is between 2500 and 6000 words, with citations in Harvard format, but feel free to query us if your work is outside this range or your work does not meet the usual academic format. Please do not use footnotes in your submissions. Please provide an abstract and up to ten key words. All academic papers will be peer reviewed.
Accepted authors retain all rights to their works, but give us a short-term exclusive license to reproduce the works. More details on request.
Please feel free to get in touch with any queries.
Many thanks for your interest.
