DEADLINE EXTENDED: CEA at MLA 2021
As an affiliate-organization of the Modern Language Association(MLA), CEA is pleased to sponsor a session at the MLA convention in Toronto, Ontario from January 7-10, 2021. As previously announced, CEA is soliciting proposals for our annual MLA session, which includes but is not limited to the following: a presentation panel; a roundtable (which may be interactive electronic demonstrations); workshops; or special events. Additional guidelines for sessions may be found at https://www.mla.org/Convention/Planning-a-Convention-Session/Procedures-for-Organizing-Convention-Meetings
CEA has extended the deadline for panel proposals to January 31, 2020. Please send a proposal—typically written in the form of a Call for Papers (CFP)—to Ken Bugajski, CEA 2nd Vice President at firstname.lastname@example.org by this date. All participants in the CEA session at the MLA convention must be (or become) members of both the CEA and MLA in the first quarter of 2020.
CEA Board members will carefully consider all submissions and then vote to choose the most engaging proposal. Once selected, the organizer(s) must then advertise the session nationally through the UPenn CFP list and at least one other specialized listserv—as well as through the MLA itself.
