The presence of science fiction in university classrooms is by now no longer shocking; the genre has become a mainstay not only in literature and philosophy classrooms but also in STEM fields, as its predictions and extrapolations pose memorable and concrete case studies to explore the societal and ethical implications of technological innovation, as well as interesting practical engineering problems to try to solve with real-world science.

We are seeking panelist proposals for the accepted Children’s Literature Association (ChLA 2020) conference panel “Sustaining Black Lives: Ecological Imaginaries in African American Books for Young Readers.” The ChLA 2020 theme “Sustainability Through Story: Eco-Justice, Children's Literature, and Childhood” invites “an expansive array of interdisciplinary topics on the cultural, political, historical, and contemporary impact of children’s literature in relationship to the environment.” This panel seeks papers that correlates race and gender with Black sustainability issues like environmental inequity and global migration.

For the book: Feeding Cultural Fear: Essays on Films During a Time of Transition, 1998-2020
I am looking for a completed chapter for an academic book that aims to examine the manifestation of collective societal fears in film. This collection will cover films specifically from the time period of 1998-2020. This collection is under contract with McFarland & Company, Inc., Publishers and will be released in 2020.
Every four years, the Global Center for Religious Research (GCRR) must seek replacements for certain executive positions within the organization. We are now accepting applications for the following roles to help run the GCRR Academic Society:
