Cambridge Scholars Publishing announces a Call for Proposals/Submissions for a collection of essays provisionally entitled Re-examining Arthur Conan Doyle, edited by Nils Clausson, author of Arthur Conan Doyle’s Art of Fiction: A Revaluation (Cambridge Scholars Publishing 2018; paperback 2019). The focus of the collection will be on re-examining all aspects of Arthur Conan Doyle’s life and writings. Proposals should make clear how the chapter will specifically contribute to the project of re-examination. How does your paper offer a fresh way of interpreting or evaluating Conan Doyle’s works, or examine overlooked or neglected aspects of his oeuvre and life, or propose new approaches to his works, or reconsider current emphases and approaches in Conan Doyle studies.

All approaches are welcomed. Send the proposal (maximum of 500 words) as a Word attachment in an email to the editor: Nils.Clausson@uregina.ca. Feel free to make an initial inquiry before sending the proposal. If you have a draft (or finished) paper you can send it in place of a proposal. Deadline for proposals: July 15, 2020. Accepted proposals will then be given a deadline. Anticipated publication date: early 2021.
