Panel: Film and Literature
Panel description: The Pacific Ancient and Modern Language Association’s Film and Literature session is open to all papers that explore some critical framing between film and literature. Papers can examine narrative and aesthetic perspectives of film and literature within the realm of genre, race, ethnicity, gender, working-class, and disability studies. Analyses of film and literature with a focus on auteurist, feminist, and/or psychoanalytic theoretical approaches are also welcomed. However, this session will give special consideration to papers that engage with the 2020 conference theme of "City of God, City of Destruction." Applicants are encouraged to look at the PAMLA website for more details about the conference theme. The conference is scheduled to take place from Thursday, November 12, 2020 through Sunday, November 15, 2020 at the Sahara Las Vegas Hotel (Las Vegas, Nevada).

The deadline to submit presentation proposal abstracts is July 15, 2020. All submissions will be reviewed by July 20, 2020. Accepted panelists should pay PAMLA membership dues by July 25, 2020.
