Dear Colleagues,

We have the pleasure to invite you again to submit articles for our journal, HyperCultura, http://litere.hyperion.ro/hypercultura/- online-only, E-ISSN: 2559-2025, indexed CEEOL, Ulrichsweb, MLA Directory of Periodiocals (+ MLA International Bibliography), DOAJ, ERIH PLUS - for issue no 9/2020. We encourage, though not imposing, a comparative approach on the following areas: literature (print and hypertext), (not classic literature), media studies, film studies, visual and performative arts, teaching (language, literature, rhetoric). Subjects such as Postcolonialism, Gender Studies, etc, are welcome if they have the above mentioned areas as their case studies.

Third Stone—a journal devoted to Afrofuturism, African-futurism, and other modes of the Black Fantastic—is expanding its staff with two exciting new positions: a grants and business coordinator as well as a social media coordinator. The individuals who assume these positions will play a vital role in the growth and development of Third Stone, enabling us to innovate and to reach a wider audience as we engage critical and creative conversations on the topics mentioned above. Provided below are the specifications for each position:

The Editors invite submissions for Performance Beyond Drama, a special issue of the Journal of Medieval and Early Modern Studies.  

The Hero is Female Katniss Everdeen’s hand signal is now used at real-world rallies, and Princess Leia is the face of the real-world resistance movement. More than ever fictional female protagonists are symbols of hope and strength during these turbulent times, but power can take many forms and often these characters can take nontraditional paths. This panel will focus on female protagonists in fiction and film, with an emphasis on genre narratives, as we examine the ways in which women of all ages gain revelations and empowerment.
