Southeastern Renaissance Conference (SRC) CFP 2021
The Southeastern Renaissance Conference (SRC) invites submissions for presentation at our 78th Annual Meeting, which will be hosted by Duke University and held October 15-16, 2021 in Durham, North Carolina. SRC 2021 will have a hybrid design, meaning the conference will meet both virtually and in-person on the Duke University campus. Papers can be on any aspect of Renaissance art, literature, history, philosophy, music, or culture, but we particularly encourage approaches to the visual and visual culture in the Renaissance.
SRC is unique in that we require full essays (2,500 words maximum). Essays should be uploaded to the Paper Submission Module (link below) on our website. For consideration for the 2021 Conference, papers must be submitted by June 7th, 2021, and authors will receive a response by July 15th. Submission of your work to the SRC is also an automatic submission to Renaissance Papers, the organization’s long-running journal. Renaissance Papers is peer-reviewed and included in the MLA Bibliography.
