This virtual (online) session welcomes papers on any aspect of the Humanities being used to increase quality of life, whether through public humanities, applied humanities, the arts, healthcare, social services, or other avenues; and, this year, papers that attempt to engage the conference theme of “City of God, City of Destruction” are particularly welcome.

Across the country, academic programs in the Humanities have been cut or restructured and Humanities organizations have struggled to remain afloat in the economic crisis caused by the public health emergency. Yet, in difficult times, many turn to the comfort, connection, and support offered by the Humanities. This virtual session is open to multimedia presentations. We are especially interested in papers that address marginalized communities or knowledge ways.
