Pandemic Perspectives Seminar Series

deadline for submissions:

full name / name of organization:
Pandemic Perspectives (UK)

The Pandemic Perspectives Team are seeking presenters for our upcoming seminar series, commencing in Autumn 2021. We invite declarations of interest from any individual or group whose work in the arts, humanities, or social sciences intersects with the COVID-19 pandemic, its ramification, challenges, and the larger contexts of its impact.

Sessions will take place fortnightly on Thursdays from 18:30 to 20:00 (GMT) over Zoom, beginning on 9 September 2021. Speakers will have between 45 and 60 minutes to deliver a prepared talk (precise timings to be negotiated in advance as per the speaker’s wishes), after which the floor will be open for questions, comments, and general discussion until the close of the session. Speakers are encouraged to accompany their talk with a PowerPoint (or similar), so as to make their session more accessible and inclusive. Dependent upon the speaker’s consent, the presentation element (but not the questions and answers portion) of the session will be recorded, professionally edited, and uploaded to the Pandemic Perspectives YouTube channel.
