The CEA Mid-Atlantic Review seeksscholarly articles, position papers, short stories, poems, and pedagogical reflections for its 2022 issue. For those in search for inspiration, the theme for the 64th Annual CEAMAG Conference is “The Way Forward.” We are also looking for an original photograph or artwork for our cover, which can relate either to the conference theme or something related to the Mid-Atlantic region.
The CEA Mid-Atlantic Review is the official publication of the College English Association Mid-Atlantic Group and is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal published annually. We specialize in literary and cultural criticism, discussions of pedagogy, public humanities work, reviews of scholarly books, personal essays concerned with the teaching of English, and creative writing related to literature or teaching.
The CEA Mid-Atlantic Review believes that scholars and creative writers should be paid for their labor. Authors of published pieces will receive a $20 honorarium.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Research articles and essay submissions should be limited to between 3,000 and 5,000 words; reviews of scholarly books should be limited to 1,000 words; poems should be limited to 500 words; and short fiction should be limited to 1,500 words.
All scholarly work must be prepared in accordance with the most recent MLA style manual and emailed as a Word Google document to CEAMidAtlanticReview@gmail.com. Please remove your name, institutional affiliation, and any other identifying information from your submissions. The deadline for submissions for Fall 2022 publication is April 18, 2022.
