Notes from the Field, a publication of the TPS Collective, is now accepting submissions about teaching with primary sources for three series of peer-reviewed blog posts: “Public-Facing Scholarship and Outreach,” “Internships and Long-Term Student Project Management,” and “Accessibility and Access in the Primary Source Classroom.”  These series are intended to highlight a broad range of voices from all sectors of the TPS community.

Series 1: Public-Facing Scholarship and Outreach

Have you independently or collaboratively carried out public-facing educational projects over the past six to twelve months? Perhaps you have curated a virtual or in-person exhibit, designed a general use learning object or module, or worked with institutional or community partners to develop or modify programming like lectures, trivia nights, or workshops. Essays in this series will speak to successes and challenges related to extending the reach of collections and expertise beyond the typical classroom space.

Contributions should be 1000-1200 words and will be subject to Notes from the Fields peer review process. Posts will be published on a rolling basis beginning in March 2022. Full submission information is available in the Notes from the Field author and peer review guidelines. Any questions, expressions of interest, or submissions can be sent to the Notes from the Field Lead Editor, Carly Sentieri, at carly.sentieri@wisc.edu.
