2022 Theme: Intergenerational Communities
West Chester University
Call for Presentations
In 2022 the LCC is back to holding in-person events on Thursday, September 29th.
Each year, our interdisciplinary conference provides a creative space to enhance the understanding of Latina/o/x issues, contributions, and cultures. We pride ourselves in serving as a link between academia and local communities, institutions and organizations
This year’s theme focuses on celebrating Intergenerational Communities, bringing forth the potential of diversity and intersectionalities present in our community, family or extra-familial relations between generations, preservation of traditions, intergenerational trauma, pedagogy and popular learning spaces, multiple forms of knowledge, intergenerational healing, collective activism, and preservation of traditions, among others. As such, we invite proposals that address these themes, in addition to other themes related to Latinx communities and identities.
We invite students, faculty, professionals, practitioners, artists, and community members to submit proposals. We welcome individual or collective in one of these formats:
-
20-minute academic presentations or posters
-
75-minute panels of up to 4 presenters
-
