It is with no doubt that in the current modern world, the online and the offline world are more interdependent. The COVID-19 pandemic had multiple impacts in everyday life. This has created a new set of variables that are constantly influencing how ideas are produced and amplified through communities. This panel suggest studying the “Digital Communities of Resilience in everyday life”. Some of the topics that are proposed are: what is the impact and who are the online communities that focus in social and racial marginalization? How is media-feminism communicated online? What resilient strategies have we’ve seen the past two years in gender studies online? Also, does journalists online have resilient strategies to do their jobs since the pandemic started? Has anything changed? Are there different online communities on the Global South? Does the Global South respond differently to resilience strategies than the Global North? Other communities of resilience can be the way we communicate and understand politics. What strategies and responses have communities created to respond to misinformation and disinformation? Also, how to understand global activism online from a resilience perspective: from Black Lives Matter to marching against populist leaders. Finally, the panel would like to explore topics about the self, online. How interactions have been created since the pandemic? What resilient strategies does people have to create digital communities? How does this impact their everyday life?
