The 31st annual Midwestern Conference on Literature, Language and Media at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois, is currently accepting proposals for 20-minute presentations from individuals and panels.
This year’s conference theme, “Ethnic Images: between art and reality in the United States”, encourages papers, presentations, and original creative works that explore topics concerned with the intersecting identities of ethnic populations in the U.S., their representation and/or their involvement in literature, media, art, games, technology, politics, etc.

It will be assumed that creative works represent a culmination of research in a given area, presenters may wish to include critical context for their work and take part in the associated Q & A sessions.
Outstanding papers and presentations will receive a special recognition!
