Call for Seminar Papers and Panel/Workshop/Roundtable Proposals
To see our call for seminar papers, visit: https://esra2023.btk.ppke.hu/welcome-to-esra2023/call-for-seminar-papers/
We are now opening our call for proposals of panels, workshops or roundtables, inviting abstracts (300-400 words) setting out their proposed topics, its relevance for the conference theme, together with the names, affiliations and brief biographies (100‒150 words) of participants (no more than 4 speakers), submitted by the panel’s convener to the conference email address (esra2023@btk.ppke.hu) until 1 December 2022. (for more information, visit https://esra2023.btk.ppke.hu/welcome-to-esra2023/call-for-panels-worksho...)
As there is limited time in the conference programme that we can dedicate to panels, we cannot guarantee that all proposals be accepted. We will, however, offer a chance to join seminars to colleagues whose proposals we are unable to fit into the schedule. All panel conveners will be notified about the acceptance of their proposals by 15 December 2022.
The general structure of the three different formats:
- Panels: 3-4 papers of no more than 15-20 minutes each, followed by a discussion, inviting questions from the audience as well
- Roundtables: a group of established scholars and experts in a field related to Shakespeare studies (academia, theatre practice or criticism, education, etc) raising relevant issues in a live discussion, allowing audience interaction
- Workshops: interactive programmes, with a focus on some practical issue, especially in connection with performance or education
Information about registration and other practical aspects will be given in due course. Should you have any questions, feel free to contact the organising team at the conference email address (esra2023@btk.ppke.hu).
We are looking forward to your proposals, and even more to meeting you in Budapest in 2023,
The Board of ESRA and the ESRA2023 Budapest Conference Team:
