Call for Reviews
For 2026 Journal Publication
Abstract Proposal Submission Deadline: 21st January 2026
Completed Paper Submission Deadline: 15th March 2026
We are pleased to announce a call for reviews for Volume 4 of our journal to be published in 2025.
We invite book reviews (700 - 1,200 words) on work on the following topics but not limited to:
- Bakhtin's concept of the carnivalesque

Carnivals (business, entrepreneurship, combined arts, performance)

Celebration
- Events
-
Festival Cities
-
Festival/Celebration Night Life
-
Festivals and Fiestas in South America
-
Gatherings (crowds, fans, activities)
- Language and Culture or Language and Festival
-
Medieval Festivals
-
Folk Festivals
-
Music Festivals
-
Religion
-
Rituals
We also invite reports (5,000 words), review essays (should focus on 3–5 books on a similar topic or theme), analysis of festival events, and interviews (between 800 and 1,200 words).
We look forward to receiving: A 500-word Abstract, no more than a 5,000-word completed paper, and a bio of no longer than 100 words should be included (Word doc. files only). Individual bios for group authors.
We are currently reviewing and working on volume 3, but early submissions are encouraged, and we provide updates as often as possible. Early submissions also assist us in determining whether there is interest in the topic.
